8 Best Yext Alternatives for Every Business Type in 2026

Looking for a Yext alternative? We compare eight options on pricing, listings, reviews, usability, and multi-location management to help you find the right fit.

Yext Alternatives

Yext gives you a lot under one roof: listings management, local SEO, reviews, and broad directory coverage.

But having more features and more publisher connections doesn’t always mean you’re getting the right fit for your business.

As you add locations, costs can climb. You may also find yourself paying for features that overlap with tools you already use, or committing to a platform built for a broader set of needs than yours.

That’s where Yext alternatives come in.

We compared eight alternatives across pricing, listings coverage, review management, usability, and multi-location capabilities. This blog covers our findings on what they offer, where they differ from Yext, and which types of businesses they’re best suited to.

Why Look Beyond Yext

Key reasons to consider Yext alternatives, including high costs for small and multi-location businesses, feature overlap and complexity, and contract and onboarding friction.

Yext covers a lot, but that broad feature set may not be what every business needs. Depending on your priorities, you may be looking for simpler review management, more transparent pricing, or a platform that fits your location count better. That’s where exploring Yext alternatives can make sense.

Cost for Small and Multi-Location Businesses

Yext charges per location, per year. That math works when customers might find you in hundreds of different places. At four locations in one city, they find you on the same three or four surfaces every time. Your bill grows with each location. What you get back does not.

Verified User in Retail

The pricing feels high compared to alternatives, especially for small businesses. Some features are locked behind higher tiers, which can be frustrating if you only need one or two of them.

Verified G2 Review

Feature Overlap and Complexity

Count the tools you already pay for. One does reviews, another does social, Yext does listings, and all three overlap somewhere.

You end up with three dashboards and no clear owner of the Google Business Profile. You usually find out when a review has sat ignored for a week because everyone assumed another tool had it.

Merna A.

It can feel a little overwhelming at first. There are a lot of features, and the learning curve is steeper than I expected. Some parts of the interface could be more intuitive, especially when you're just getting started.

Verified G2 Review

Contract and Onboarding Friction

Yext sells annual contracts, and it builds your listings through its own publisher relationships rather than handing them to you. Leaving is where that arrangement shows itself.

Verified User in Retail

In my opinion, Yext prioritized rigid contract terms over building a long-term customer relationship. I expected far better support and professionalism from a company we've trusted for nearly ten years.

Verified G2 Review

Yext may fit some businesses, but choosing an alternative comes down to how well each tool handles the features you actually need. So, we put these Yext alternatives to the test across pricing, usability, features, and review management.

How We Tested These Yext Alternatives

Here's where every price, rating and quote on this page came from, and what we did not check. Where a fact could not be verified, we say so rather than guess.

Our Testing Protocol

We ran every tool through the same checks, so the entries below compare like for like.

  • Connected the test location and record what each tool asks for, including which verification step Google puts in the way.
  • Ran a listings scan and record which directories and aggregators each tool reports on, against the 200-plus publishers Yext names.
  • Pulled the demand data for every "Yext vs" search people actually run, and kept the tools with real volume. That is why BrightLocal, SOCi, Birdeye, Podium and Moz Local get full entries.
  • Applied a category test. A tool had to keep location data correct across directories, or collect and answer reviews across several locations. A general mention-monitoring tool does neither, so one tool from the last version of this page was dropped.
  • Priced a worked example on each published rate card, so every entry with published pricing shows what a real business pays rather than a headline number.
  • Read each vendor's help center to confirm where a reply actually posts, not just which sites it monitors.
  • Checked the published terms for contract length, auto-renewal and notice periods.
  • Recorded the directory reach each vendor claims, and which publishers it names.

How We Fact-Checked Every Comparison

  • Prices were re-checked against each vendor's own pricing page.
  • Quote-only vendors are listed as quote-only. Birdeye, SOCi and Uberall publish no figure, so we give the billing unit and the contract shape instead of an estimate.
  • G2 ratings are quoted at the level the source supports. Birdeye, BrightLocal, Podium, SOCi, Reputation and Vendasta publish one score covering every product they sell. SocialPilot Reviews, Yext, Moz Local, Synup and Uberall publish a score for the product itself.

What We Didn't Test, and Why

  • Quote-only pricing at full depth: Birdeye, SOCi and Uberall need a sales call before you see a number, so we compare what they publish and stop there.
  • Contract terms vendors keep private: Some publish no contract length, notice period or minimum location count. Those sit in the switching section as open questions.
  • Long-term support quality: Judging support takes months of real tickets, which no comparison like this can cover.

The goal was not to find one tool that beats Yext at everything. It was to find where each one fits better, whether that comes down to price, directory reach, review management or the number of locations you run. Here’s how they stack up at a glance.

Yext Alternatives at a Glance

Here is how all eight compare on rating, starting price, and directory reach. Yext sits in the top row, so you can measure each alternative against what you already pay for.

Tool Best for G2 Rating Starting price Listings reach
Yext Enterprise brands needing maximum coverage 4.5 $199 a year 200+ publishers, including Apple Maps, Bing and Yelp
SocialPilot Reviews Agencies and small multi-location businesses on Google 4.5 Free, then $30 a month Nine platforms
Moz Local Listings distribution without a sales call 4.2 $20 per location a month 90+ directories, US, UK and Canada only
BrightLocal Agencies showing clients what moved 4.6 $41 a month Citation Builder in 20 countries, live sync on five platforms
Birdeye Review volume a team cannot keep up with 4.7 Quote only Real-time sync to Google, Facebook, Apple, Yelp and Bing
Podium Local teams whose customers text 4.5 Quote only No listings network
SOCi Franchise and field teams that post for themselves 4.5 Quote only Aggregators: Foursquare, Foursquare/Factual and Neustar/Localeze
Reputation Boards wanting a score per location 4.5 $80 per location a month API updates to major sites, aggregators for the tail
Vendasta Agencies reselling under their own name 4.5 $99 a month minimum spend Citation Builder, US only

Best for Local SEO & Listings

Moz Local at $20 per location a month covers 90-plus directories. BrightLocal, at $41 a month for one location, audits your citations and tracks your rankings instead. Neither one carries Yext's 200-plus publisher network.

Best for Enterprise & Multi-Location Brands

Past a hundred locations, the published price lists run out. SOCi is the usual answer for franchise structures, and it quotes only after a demo. Reputation publishes $80 per location a month on Rep Core. Birdeye covers the middle, quoting in bands from 1 to 3 locations up past 1,000.

The table gives you a quick sense of how these Yext alternatives compare. Now, let’s take a closer look at what each one offers, where it stands out, and where it may fall short.

The 8 Best Yext Alternatives, Reviewed in Depth

Here is a closer look at each tool. What it does well, where it falls short, what it costs, who it suits, and how it compares with Yext head to head.

1. SocialPilot Reviews, Best for Agencies and SMBs

Free Starter plan, then $30 per month, or $25.50 per month billed annually

Rating

Rated 4.5 on G2.

Apps

Web platform and the SocialPilot Reviews mobile app.

Review Platforms Supported

One feed in SocialPilot Reviews pulls in Google Business Profile, Facebook, Yelp, Tripadvisor, Trustpilot, Foursquare, Zillow, Yellow Pages and Influenster, plus a custom link for anything else.

SocialPilot Reviews is built for agencies and small multi-location teams who live on Google. Nine review sources land in one feed, which is where most of its value sits. Replies post from the dashboard on Google and Facebook, and on the other seven the tool drafts a reply for you to paste.

Listings publishing is the narrow part, reaching Google Business Profile and Facebook Pages and nothing else, so weigh that against Yext's 200-plus publisher network before you switch.

Key Features

  • One review inbox across nine platforms: Every review for every location lands in one feed, filtered by source, rating, tag, reply status or keyword. It pulls in your last 1,000 reviews.
  • AI replies and auto-reply rules: Drafts in 40 or more languages, rules that fire on star rating, and an approval step before anything publishes.
  • Review requests by email, SMS and WhatsApp: Twilio for SMS, Meta Business for WhatsApp, plus counter QR codes and forms that route low scores to you privately.
  • Listings with per-location health flags: Add a location once, verify the Google profile, then let it sync each month. You work through a list that names what is wrong.

Pricing, Tier by Tier

SocialPilot Reviews' pricing scales by location after the first three, not by directory count or by module.

Tier Monthly Annual Brands and locations
Starter Free Free 1 brand, 1 location, 100 email credits a month
Pro $30 $25.50 per month Unlimited brands, 3 locations, then $10 per location per month, 5,000 email credits a month
Enterprise Contact sales Contact sales Custom locations and credits, full white label

Extra email credits cost $10 per 1,000 on Pro. If you are not running large review-request campaigns, the 5,000 credits included on Pro are unlikely to run out.

Answering Reviews Is Not an Upgrade Here

Review management, monitoring, AI replies and auto-reply rules sit on the free Starter plan. So do reply templates, QR codes and review widgets. The rest of this page does not work that way. Moz Local puts review responding on Preferred, a tier up from Lite. BrightLocal puts it on Grow, its third plan.

Against Yext, You Are Buying Two Surfaces Instead of Two Hundred

Breadth is what you give up. Yext holds one record correct across a 200-plus publisher network. Nothing here fakes that. What you get instead is one Google Business Profile feeding Search, Maps, Assistant, Gemini and Waze. For a phone-first "near me" customer, that one profile does most of the work.

Who Should Actually Use This

This fits a seven-location dental group, or an agency with twenty client locations. Unanswered Google reviews are the weekly complaint. Pro gives you unlimited brands, role-based access by brand and location, and client reports you can put your logo on. Full white label, with branded invite emails and landing pages, is Enterprise.

Do not buy it to replace Yext's coverage. A franchise with a decade of bad aggregator data needs a distributor, not a review inbox.

A Realistic Scenario

Eight locations on Pro, billed annually. The first three cost $25.50, the other five $10 each, so $75.50 a month, or $906 a year. Moz Local Preferred, the cheapest Moz tier that allows a reply, runs $299 a year per location, so $2,392. BrightLocal Grow in the six-to-ten band is $1,178.

Pros

  • Nine review sources feed one inbox, and connecting a platform pulls in up to your last 1,000 reviews.
  • Reviews and listings share one location record. A location added for listings becomes a review source.
  • Reply automation is deep for the price. You get rules by star rating, an approval gate and a mobile app.

Katie F.

I like consolidating our social and reviews down to one platform. Their support team was incredible about onboarding and accommodating specific feature requests – super quick to respond, pleasant and flexible. It's also priced super fairly.

Verified G2 Review

Cons

  • Listings publish to Google Business Profile and Facebook Pages only, with no Apple Maps, no Bing Places and no Yelp sync. If directory breadth is the job, read the Moz Local entry instead.
  • Direct replying stops at Google and Facebook. On Yelp, Tripadvisor, Trustpilot, Zillow, Foursquare, Yellow Pages and Influenster you paste the reply yourself.
  • You cannot create a new Facebook listing here, only connect one that already exists. Meta does not allow it.

Company Snapshot: 15,000+ businesses use SocialPilot to build credibility online, per our own published figure.

What Sets It Apart: Locations four and up cost $10 a month each, rather than a second per-location subscription.

2. Moz Local, Best for Affordable Listings Management

$20 per location per month on Lite, or $199 per location per year

Rating

4.2 on G2 based on 475 reviews and 4.4 on Capterra based on 33 reviews.

Listings and Directory Reach

Moz Local pushes your location data to 90+ directories.

Moz Local's listing overview dashboard where you can assess listing health by network and listing health by field. The dashboard also provides insights into listings that require action and healthy ones.

With Moz Local, what you are buying is directory distribution and very little else, priced per location on a public page. Listings management covers the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada only, so a location anywhere else is out of scope. It suits a single-brand operator who needs NAP consistency without a sales call.

Key Features

  • Distribution to 90+ directories: One location record goes out to directories. It stays in sync as your details change.
  • Local Grid: Where a location ranks across a map area, so visibility reads as a picture rather than one number.
  • Review responding on Google and Facebook: From Preferred upward, with sentiment analysis alongside it. Lite monitors reviews and stops there.
  • Data health analytics: Listing accuracy scored per location, with competitor comparison from Preferred and a reporting suite on Elite.

Pricing, Tier by Tier

Moz's own pricing page puts it bluntly: each physical location needs its own subscription. Read every figure below as a per-location price, then multiply.

Tier Monthly Annual Per location
Lite $20 $199 a year, about $16 a month 90+ directories, Local Grid, review monitoring, data health. No review responding
Preferred $30 $299 a year, about $24 a month Adds review responding on Google and Facebook, sentiment analysis, social posting, competitor analysis
Elite $40 $399 a year, about $33 a month Adds Listings AI, posting to Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok, Facebook ad boosting, reporting suite
Enterprise Quote only Quote only 50+ locations, dedicated account manager, additional directories

Reviews AI is an extra $10 a month or $69 a year on Preferred and Elite.

Replying to a Review Costs an Extra $10 Per Location, Every Month

Lite has no review responding at all. To answer a Google review from inside Moz Local you need Preferred. That is $10 per location a month above Lite. Across eight locations, billed annually, that step-up costs $800 a year. And it still unlocks Google and Facebook only.

Against Yext, You Trade Network Size for a Price You Can Read

These two do the same job at different sizes. Our tracked data puts "yext vs moz local" at about 300 searches a month in the US. Yext's network is larger. It adds a workflow and API layer for brands running thousands of records. Touch location data twice a quarter and you are paying enterprise rates.

Who Should Actually Use This

It fits a single-brand operator with four to fifty US, UK or Canadian locations. NAP consistency is the job, and reviews go to whoever has time.

Skip it if a location sits outside those three countries, or if review generation is half the job. There is no campaign engine here. When it proves too light, our Moz Local alternatives guide covers the next stops.

A Realistic Scenario

The same eight locations. Lite billed annually is $199 each, so $1,592 a year, with no way to answer a review. Preferred is $299 each, so $2,392, which adds Google and Facebook replies. Add Reviews AI at $69 a year per location and you reach $2,944, against $906 above.

Pros

  • 90+ directories all update from one location record, which is the job a departing Yext customer needs done.
  • Local Grid maps where a location ranks across an area rather than at a single point, so a weak part of a service area shows up.
  • Data health analytics score listing accuracy per location, so a site with years of contradictory aggregator data shows up as a number rather than a hunch.

Hank P.

Moz local is the best and most affordable option for getting your business data consistent across all digital platforms and listings. They provide a great analysis tool, and their platform is very user-friendly.

Verified G2 Review

Cons

  • Review responding is locked out of the base plan. The paid tiers cover Google and Facebook only.
  • Listings management covers the US, the UK and Canada only. A location anywhere else is out.
  • There is no review request engine. Moz Local watches what arrives and does nothing to bring more in.

Verified User in Computer Networking

Invoicing: poorly done, not easy to read, not reconcilable. Does not make being a customer easy. Ticket resolution slow. Client success managers, don't know anything about the other products. Too many hoops to jump through to get help. Account managers are aweful.

Verified G2 Review

Company Snapshot: Founded in 2004 in Seattle as SEOmoz, and owned since 2021 by Ziff Davis, formerly J2 Global.

What Sets It Apart: Nothing else here does Yext's actual job, one record out to 90+ directories, for a number printed on a public page.

3. BrightLocal, Best for Agencies and Local SEO-Focused Teams

$41 per month for one location on Track, rising to $65 on Grow, with a 14-day free trial and no card

Rating

4.6 on G2 based on 230 reviews and 4.8 on Capterra based on 283 reviews.

Apps

Web app only.

Listings and Directory Reach

Citation Builder covers 20 countries, Active Sync covers five platforms, and review monitoring reaches 80+ sites across four countries.

BrightLocal's location summary dashboard displaying the domain authority, Google rankings, reputation manager overview, and citations overview for each business location.

Agencies buy BrightLocal as a local SEO toolkit first, with reputation management bolted onto the reporting layer. A person on BrightLocal's team makes each citation submission by hand, and Active Sync needs an upgrade before it will cover Yelp. The industry-specific review sites are US only, and reporting stops at 50 locations per account.

Key Features

  • Citation Builder: A person submits your details site by site, across 20 countries. You pay once per site instead of renting the placement.
  • Rank tracking and geo-grid: Keyword position by location, down to map pack placement. The grid reads as evidence to a client, not as a spreadsheet cell.
  • Reputation Manager: Review monitoring across 80+ sites, replies posted to Google and Facebook from the dashboard, requests by email, text and in-store, plus embeddable widgets. Grow plan only.
  • Client-ready reporting: White-labeled and scheduled, built to send out rather than read internally. Local SEO audits and a Google Business Profile audit sit alongside it.

Pricing, Tier by Tier

Price is banded by location count, so the cost per location falls as you add clients instead of climbing.

Tier Monthly Annual Locations
Track $41 $369 a year 1 location. AI visibility tracking, audits, rank tracking, geo-grid, citation monitoring, GBP audit
Manage $54 $485 a year 1 location. Adds AI Insights, Active Sync listings sync and protection, GBP post scheduling
Grow $65 $584 a year 1 location. Adds review monitoring and replies, review requests, review widgets
Track / Manage / Grow $83 / $109 / $131 $747 / $980 / $1,178 a year 6 to 10 locations, the band most agencies land in
Track / Manage / Grow $524 / $769 / $989 $4,716 / $6,920 / $8,900 a year 91 to 100 locations, the top published band
Custom Quote only Quote only 100+ locations

Citation Builder sits outside the subscription at $3.20 per site, and charges are not refundable.

Reviews Are the Third Plan, and Replies Stop at 350 Characters

Track and Manage carry no review responding. Reputation Manager arrives on Grow. A reply written in the dashboard is capped at 350 characters, the most the Google and Facebook APIs accept. The other 80-odd monitored sites give you a link to the listing, not a reply box. You type the reply again there.

Against Yext, You Own the Citations Instead of Renting Them

Google's People Also Ask box asks how these two differ, word for word, and BrightLocal's own comparison page has answered it from the top ten for two years. A Yext sync works like a rental. Your data stays correct while the contract runs, and stopping puts it at risk. Citation Builder is a purchase, so the citation is yours whether or not you renew, at $3.20 a submission. That is why large brands run both.

Who Should Actually Use This

If you send someone an invoice for local SEO every month, this is the clearest answer on the page. The reporting layer is the product. The 6-to-10 band is where it gets cheap per client.

It is the wrong buy if you own your locations rather than serve clients. Past 50 locations the account still works, but the reporting layer, which is the reason to buy it, caps out. In this case, it makes sense to explore BrightLocal alternatives.

A Realistic Scenario

Eight client locations. Grow in the 6-to-10 band is $131 a month, or $1,178 annually. That is $147 per location a year. A ninth client's citations cost a one-off $96 at 30 sites. Moz Local Preferred would be $299 per location per year. The 14-day trial needs no card.

Pros

  • The reporting layer is the product, not an afterthought. That is what justifies a retainer.
  • Citations are bought outright per site. They survive a canceled subscription in a way rented sync does not.
  • Rank tracking and the geo-grid put map pack position on a map, location by location, next to audits that name what to fix.

Adam J.

BrightLocal has the best tools to give us a sense of how we are ranking for SEO keywords in our market. Their competitor analysis is also very insightful, and gives us actionable items to work on with our digital agencies.

Verified G2 Review

Cons

  • It measures and corrects rather than distributes. It is not a swap for Yext's live publisher sync.
  • Review management is a Grow-plan module. Replies stop at 350 characters and cover Google and Facebook only.
  • Reporting stops at 50 locations per account, and there is no mobile app for review work, only a training app.

Verified User in Marketing and Advertising

Both their sales and support are sub-standard. We have been trying to get setup for about a week, were upload on services, and spent hours on a support meeting a few days ago. We were supposed to get a follow up, but so far we have not been able to contact anyone.

Verified G2 Review

Company Snapshot: Founded in 2009 and based in Brighton, in the UK.

What Sets It Apart: It sells a citation outright at $3.20 a site with nothing recurring attached, the opposite of the rented-listing model the rest of this page runs on.

4. Birdeye, Best for Generative Review Response

No public pricing. Quote only.

Rating

4.7 on G2 based on 4,190 reviews.

Apps

Web platform, plus iOS and Android apps.

Review Platforms Supported

Birdeye markets 200+ review sites, and its listings sync reaches Google, Facebook, Apple, Yelp and Bing.

Birdeye score screen where you can view the Birdeye score, sentiment score, reputation score, and listing score for each location. You can also view an AI-generated summary which provides listing optimization action items for improving the score.

Birdeye is suitable for groups whose review count has outgrown any central team. Its help center confirms replies post straight from the dashboard on Google and Facebook, and keeps the full list of integrated sites behind a separate link rather than naming it.

AI-assisted replies work on US accounts only, Tripadvisor is copy and paste, and Yelp carries restrictions with no bulk reply. Yext started at the listing and grew into reviews, and Birdeye came the other way, as our Birdeye vs Yext comparison sets out.

Key Features

  • AI-assisted review responses: A reply generated from the review's own content, on the sites Birdeye posts to and the ones where you paste it. US accounts only.
  • Real-time listings sync: Google, Facebook, Apple, Yelp and Bing, with a per-location score pointing at the exact detail that is wrong.
  • Messaging and webchat: A chat that starts on your site carries on by text, inside the same customer record the reviews sit in. The conversation and the review are one thread.
  • Surveys and triggered review requests: Requests fired from a CRM event, so the ask goes out when the job closes rather than when somebody remembers.

Pricing, Tier by Tier

Birdeye publishes no figures, so the pricing page is a form asking for your location count, in bands from 1 to 3 up to 1,000+.

The 90-Day Notice Clause Matters More Than the Number

The agreement rolls into another full term. Written notice has to land 90 days before the end date. Birdeye does not publish a term length, so ask for it. On a one-year term the decision to leave happens in month nine. Miss the date and you have bought another year. Fees are non-refundable, so there is no partial exit.

Against Yext, the Reviews Are Finished and the Network Is Not

Both grew toward the middle from opposite ends. Searches for "yext vs birdeye" ran at 22 to 50 a month in 2024. By 2026 they sit at 86 to 184. Yext's publisher network is the deeper half. Birdeye's listings sync names five destinations and stops there. Reply generation and request campaigns are where it wins.

Who Should Actually Use This

This is the strongest AI-reply product here once you pass a hundred locations. US-based groups fit best, because that is where the AI replies work.

Below ten locations it is a bad fit. You pay for messaging, surveys and referrals you never switch on. Outside the US, the headline feature is not available at all.

A Realistic Scenario

No sum to do here, so ask these first. Which sites post replies directly, in writing. Whether AI-assisted replies are switched on for your country. The term length, and the notice date 90 days before the end. What happens to the listings sync when the contract ends. Which modules the quoted number covers.

Pros

  • Response generation at volume is the clearest reason to buy it. It replaces human hours.
  • A webchat that starts on your site carries on by text inside the same customer record the reviews sit in.
  • Review requests fire from a CRM event, so the ask goes out when the job closes. The iOS and Android apps mean a reply does not wait for a desk.

Tara R.

The automated review generation consistently helps our clients build stronger online reputations, while listing management keeps their business information accurate across the web.

Verified G2 Review

Cons

  • It is a wide platform. Messaging, surveys and webchat arrive whether your team switches them on or not, and the rollout needs training.
  • The reply story thins past Google and Facebook. Yelp carries restrictions and no bulk reply, Tripadvisor is copy and paste, AI replies are US only.
  • Real-time listings sync names five destinations, Google, Facebook, Apple, Yelp and Bing. That is a long way short of a publisher network.

Melissa F.

Birdeye offers a comprehensive suite of features, which can take some time for new users to learn and navigate. As with any robust platform, there’s an initial learning curve as you get familiar with its tools and capabilities.

Verified G2 Review

Company Snapshot: Founded in 2012 in Palo Alto, and it now serves 200,000+ businesses by its own count.

What Sets It Apart: Its per-location listing score does not just tell you a location is wrong, it points at the exact detail that is wrong.

5. Podium, Best for AI Review Replies and Automation

No public pricing. Quote only.

Rating

4.5 on G2 based on 2,147 reviews and 4.3 on Capterra based on 526 user reviews.

Apps

Web platform, plus iOS and Android apps.

Review Platforms Supported

Podium monitors DealerRater, Google Business Profile, Yellow Pages, BBB and Facebook, among others.

Podium’s reviews dashboard where users can track month-over-month review growth and filter the data month-wise.

Think of Podium as a messaging platform with reviews attached, built for one site or a small group where customers arrive in person. Replies post back to the source profile, and Podium's help article confirms direct replies to Google once the Business Profile is connected. There is no listings network of any kind here. If you are leaving Yext over directory reach, that alone rules it out.

Key Features

  • One shared inbox: Texts, webchat, calls and review requests sit against a single customer record. It all runs on one business phone number.
  • SMS review invitations: The ask goes inside the existing thread, at the point of service, where response rates come from.
  • AI-drafted replies: Responses written for you, with an AI Employee add-on that handles inbound messages too.
  • Review reporting with competitive intelligence: Your aggregate rating is tracked against local rivals. The number arrives with context.

Pricing, Tier by Tier

Podium does not disclose its pricing. You need to connect with their team to get a quote.

The Platform Price Is Not the Bill

The plan buys the messaging platform. The phone system that makes the messaging worth having is priced separately, per seat and per location, and there are setup and compliance charges on top. Ask for the total, not the platform line, because the gap between them grows with every person you add.

Yext vs Podium Comes Down to Which Question You Are Asking

Which complaint have you said out loud this quarter? "yext vs podium" was first tracked in November 2025. It has run at 22 to 57 searches a month since. Yext assumes your information is wrong in places you cannot see. Podium assumes somebody tried to reach you and nobody answered.

Who Should Actually Use This

Buy this for one site, or a small group, where customers arrive in person. The review problem there is really a follow-up problem. Think of a dental practice or a dealership.

Do not buy this above roughly fifty locations. You pay by seat and by usage, so the bill tracks how busy you get. Agencies should skip it. Podium publishes no white-label option.

A Realistic Scenario

No sum to do here, so ask these on the call. What the platform costs for your plan. What a phone seat costs, and whether it changes above five users. What the one-off setup charge is per location. What US messaging compliance adds each month. Then ask for all of it as one annual figure.

Pros

  • Review requests go by SMS at the point of service. That beats email for walk-in and appointment businesses.
  • One inbox holds reviews, webchat and calls. It removes a daily context switch most rivals leave in place.
  • Review reporting sets your aggregate rating against nearby rivals, so a drop reads against the local market rather than on its own.

Zakir S.

The unified inbox makes it simple to manage conversations, and the platform integrates well with existing workflows.

Verified G2 Review

Cons

  • No listings network, and thin roll-up reporting across locations. If you are leaving Yext for directory reasons, this is the wrong category of tool.
  • Podium publishes no white-label option, so an agency reselling this puts clients in front of Podium's brand.
  • Which review sites accept a direct reply is not fully documented.

Verified User in Automotive

The cost is higher when compared to other chat and reputation management platform options in the market.

Verified G2 Review

Company Snapshot: Founded in 2014 in Lehi, Utah, and it now reaches 100,000 businesses by its own count.

What Sets It Apart: The review request and the customer's text thread live in one inbox, on one business phone number.

6. SOCi, Best for Large Multi-Location Enterprises

No public pricing. Quote only.

Rating

4.5 on G2 based on 4,685 reviews and 4.5 on Capterra based on 251 reviews.

Apps

Web platform, plus iOS and Android apps.

Listings and Directory Reach

SOCi distributes through three aggregators, Foursquare, Foursquare/Factual and Neustar/Localeze, and monitors Google Business Profile, Yelp, Tripadvisor, Trustpilot, BBB, Glassdoor, Healthgrades, WebMD, Vitals and Bazaarvoice.

SOCi's reviews inbox where you can view reviews and reply to them using manual responses or AI-suggested responses. You can also filter the reviews based on network, ratings, and date range.

Head office keeps hundreds of independent store managers on brand, and that is the problem SOCi solves. Franchise groups above a hundred sites are the usual fit. Documentation covers in-platform replies to Google, Facebook and Yelp, and what happens on the rest is not publicly confirmed. Yext is built around the data record, while this one is built around the store manager.

Key Features

  • Location groups: One change applies across a whole set of locations at once. You do not repeat it per site.
  • Aggregator listings distribution: Presence data pushed out through Foursquare, Foursquare/Factual and Neustar/Localeze.
  • Reviews inbox built for volume: Filters, a location jump menu, bulk replies and AI-suggested responses.
  • AI-generated social captions: Local posts drafted centrally so a store manager publishes something on brand.

Pricing, Tier by Tier

SOCi publishes no prices. You can get a quote through a demo call.

The Pricing Page Is a Demo Request Form

A vendor that redirects /pricing to /get-demo has made a deliberate choice about who gets a number, and when. For a brand with 400 stores and a procurement team, that is normal. For anyone smaller, weeks of sales process go by before you can even rule the product out.

Yext vs SOCi Splits on Data Accuracy Against Brand Drift

This is the fastest-growing comparison here. "yext vs soci" ran at 15 to 25 searches a month through 2024. Since November 2025 it has run at 60 to 170, with 168 last month. Correct data and consistent behavior are not the same problem. SOCi is built around the store manager, not the data record.

Who Should Actually Use This

The fit is a franchise or multi-location brand above a hundred sites, where the locations act independently. SOCi's argument is one line item replacing three.

The mismatch is any group without a local social problem. If all you need is correct location data across a large network, much of SOCi is scope you never open. You still pay for it.

A Realistic Scenario

Four answers make a SOCi quote comparable. The billing unit, and whether it is per location or per module. The initial term and the notice period before renewal. Whether a minimum location count applies. Which modules the number covers. Then convert the answer into a per-location annual figure yourself.

Pros

  • Permissions run down the franchise hierarchy, so a store manager answers their own reviews inside head-office guardrails.
  • Listings, reviews and local social run in one platform. Most enterprise brands run three separate tools to cover that ground.
  • Bulk replies and AI suggestions handle a review count nobody could read by hand.

Lindsey M.

I love the custom AI responses that are generated in our brand voice, and I also love that we can input specific information like phone numbers or emails for customer service into our AI replies.

Verified G2 Review

Cons

  • Listings go out through three aggregators, Foursquare, Foursquare/Factual and Neustar/Localeze, rather than direct publisher deals. You sit one step back from each destination.
  • In-platform replies are documented for Google, Facebook and Yelp only. What happens on Tripadvisor, Trustpilot and the health sites it monitors is not publicly confirmed.
  • Below a hundred locations most of the platform is scope you never open, because the local social module assumes independent store managers.

Jason N.

The biggest limitation for us is that some features, like Google Business Profile management, aren't available because we're using an agency account. It would be nice to have full access to all features regardless of account type.

Verified G2 Review

Company Snapshot: Founded in 2012 in San Diego by Afif Khoury, who still runs it.

What Sets It Apart: Location groups let one change land across a whole set of stores at once, which makes this a brand-control product first and a reviews product second.

7. Reputation, Best for Sentiment Analysis

Rep Core $80 per location per month, rising to $150 with surveys, and quote only above 125 locations.

Rating

4.5 on G2 based on 2,469 reviews and 4.4 on Capterra based on 184 reviews.

Apps

Web platform, plus iOS and Android apps.

Review Platforms Supported

Reputation publishes no full list of supported review sites, and Tripadvisor, Apartment Ratings, Judy's Book, Yardi, Localeze Aggregator, Vitals and WebMD are separate Rep Connect add-ons.

Reputation's reputation score dashboard which shows your listing's score and the industry average. You can also check the largest score increase and decrease and sort the data by location and score change.

Reputation turns written feedback into a score per location, benchmarked against an industry average, for healthcare groups, dealer networks and property portfolios. Those seven add-on sources are bought on top rather than included, so check your industry's sites before you sign. Yext produces coverage, and this produces a verdict somebody senior can act on.

Key Features

  • Reputation Score per location: Each site scored against its industry average, with the largest movers called out.
  • AI-written replies: Drafted responses that post to the source site and report back as Posted, Live or Failed.
  • Review requests by email and text: Sold in units of 1,000 email and 1,000 SMS requests per twelve months.
  • Surveys and Pulse analytics: Structured feedback and journey insight sit in the same model as the reviews. Your sentiment picture is not just whoever left a star.

Pricing, Tier by Tier

Unusually for an enterprise platform, the price scales per location and it is published.

Tier Monthly Billing unit
Rep Core $80 Per location, per month
Rep Core + Pulse $115 Per location, per month
Rep Core + Surveys $150 Per location, per month
Enterprise, 125+ locations Quote only Quoted

Every tier is bought through Talk to Sales, and Competitive Insights, Actions and Ticketing, and Social Suite are quote-only add-ons.

AI Replies Are in the $80 Tier, Not an Upgrade

Review collection, review requests, AI responding, business listings and local SEO all sit in Rep Core at the entry price. Plenty of competitors hold automated replies back for a second tier and charge for them. Here the upgrades buy analysis, the Rep Score and surveys, rather than the day-to-day work.

Against Yext, You Are Buying Judgment Instead of Coverage

Coverage and judgment are different products. Reputation scores each location against an industry average. Somebody senior can act on that. If the budget stretches to one, decide whether your locations are found incorrectly or judged badly.

Who Should Actually Use This

This is for the person who has to present. It suits healthcare groups, dealer networks and property portfolios. The board wants one figure per region.

A twenty-location group with nobody to act on what the platform turns up will not get its money back. It is also the wrong buy if reply speed is the pain, because the workflows here are slower.

A Realistic Scenario

A forty-site dealer network takes Rep Core. That is $3,200 a month, or $38,400 a year, for reviews, listings and AI replies. Add Pulse and it becomes $4,600 a month, $55,200 a year. The survey tier puts you at $6,000 a month, $72,000 a year. Cross 125 locations and you move to a quote.

Pros

  • Replies go out directly on Google, Facebook, Yelp, Tripadvisor and Trustpilot, so the five sites most multi-location brands get judged on are covered in one place.
  • Benchmarking against your industry average makes the score usable outside the marketing team.
  • Replies post to the review site itself and report back as Posted, Live or Failed, so you know whether a response actually landed.

Verified User in Hospital & Health Care

This tool is very useful for reviewing customer information quickly and addressing their needs. We can benchmark our services against competitors and make real change to improve.

Verified G2 Review

Cons

  • Request volume is bought in blocks of 1,000 emails and 1,000 texts per twelve months. A busy dealer group buys more than one, and the quote moves with it.
  • There is no full public list of supported review sites. Several healthcare and property sources are paid Rep Connect add-ons.
  • Too heavy below enterprise scale. You pay for features built for someone with two thousand sites.

Nicole R.

Many of the features come at an additional cost, so we’ve chosen not to use them in order to avoid the extra expense.

What Sets It Apart: A per-location score benchmarked against your industry average, with AI replies included at the $80 entry tier rather than held back for an upgrade.

8. Vendasta, Best for White-Label Solutions

$0 subscription with a $99, $499 or $999 monthly minimum spend, depending on the tier.

Rating

4.5 on G2 based on 550 reviews and 4.4 on Capterra based on 163 reviews.

Apps

Web platform and mobile app.

Review Platforms Supported

Vendasta monitors Google, Facebook, Tripadvisor, BBB, Booking.com, Trustpilot, Yelp and industry sites.

Vendasta's executive report where you get an overview of a location's performance in terms of impressions, engagement, and leads.

White labeling is the whole idea for Vendasta. Add a new review source and monitoring starts within 24 hours. Direct replies work on Google, Facebook and Vendasta's own My Listing page, and everything else gets a Reputation AI draft you paste in by hand. Yext sells you a platform to use, and this one sells you a platform to put your name on.

Key Features

  • White-label client portal: On Professional and above, so the dashboard your client logs into carries your name.
  • Reputation management with AI drafts: Review monitoring and Reputation AI responses delivered to clients under your brand.
  • Local SEO listings and Citation Builder: The listings product you resell, with Citation Builder limited to the US.
  • Snapshot Reports and CRM: Automated prospect audits and a sales pipeline. The platform feeds the selling too.

Pricing, Tier by Tier

The subscription is not the cost. The monthly minimum spend is the cost, and everything else is bought on top of it.

Tier Monthly Annual Billing unit
Starter $0 subscription, $99 minimum spend Not published Per account, monthly, no contract
Professional $0 subscription, $499 minimum spend Not published Per account, one-year contract
Premium $0 subscription, $999 minimum spend Not published Per account, one-year contract
Custom Enterprise Quote only Quote only Volume pricing, one-year contract

A $99 platform fee is paid at signing and covers month one, and qualifying product spend offsets the minimum from month two.

The Subscription Is $0 and the Floor Is the Minimum Spend

A $0 headline on a plan that carries a $999 monthly commitment needs reading twice. Every dollar you spend on qualifying products offsets the fee, so a busy agency pays nothing for the platform. A quiet month still costs you the full minimum.

Against Yext, You Resell the Platform Instead of Using It

Yext sells you software to run. Vendasta sells you software to sell. With Yext, what the client sees stays Yext's. Here the portal, the invoice and the monthly report all carry your logo. You trade depth for control. Yext's directory reach is still deeper than Vendasta's marketplace.

Who Should Actually Use This

You are an agency with a book of small local clients. They want listings, reviews and a monthly report. They care about the result, not the vendor behind it.

Manage your own locations and you pay for a reseller setup you will never touch. An agency serving enterprise clients will still buy a specialist listings product alongside it.

A Realistic Scenario

Professional's floor is $499 a month, or $5,988 a year, with five seats included and a one-year term. A sixth seat adds $35, taking the floor to $534. A $99 platform fee at signing covers month one. From month two, $1,200 of monthly product spend covers the minimum.

Pros

  • White labeling covers the client portal, the invoicing and the reports, not just the logo.
  • Snapshot Reports audit a prospect automatically and the built-in CRM carries the deal, so the platform helps you sell the products as well as deliver them.
  • Add a new review source and monitoring starts within 24 hours, across Google, Facebook, Tripadvisor, BBB, Booking.com, Trustpilot, Yelp and industry sites.

Joe R.

One of my favorite features is the white-label fulfillment capability, which allows clients to see their results presented in a branded, professional format.

Verified G2 Review

Cons

  • Direct replies cover only Google, Facebook and Vendasta's own listing page. Yelp, Tripadvisor and industry sites are copy-and-paste.
  • Citation Builder is US only. A client in another country cannot be given that part of the local SEO product.
  • The mobile apps are unbranded, so the white label stops at the phone.

Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness

I find the AI capabilities not well organized, making it difficult to find what I'm looking for easily. Additionally, the after sign-up costs for features can add up, which is not great.

Verified G2 Review

Company Snapshot: Vendasta is headquartered in Saskatoon, Canada, and employs more than 700 people.

What Sets It Apart: Your client never sees a vendor name, because the portal, the invoice and the monthly report all carry yours.

The alternatives above cover the most common reasons businesses look beyond Yext. If you’re still weighing your options, here are a few more platforms worth considering for specific listings, local SEO, and reputation management needs.

More Yext Alternatives Worth a Look

The eight options above aren’t the only alternatives to Yext. A few other platforms may be worth exploring if you have more specific needs around local SEO, listings, or reputation management.

1. Synup

Rating: 4.5 on G2 based on 335 reviews and 4.1 on Capterra based on 17 reviews.

Starting price: $49 a month for one location, rising to $299 for ten, $499 for twenty-five and $899 for fifty. Annual billing takes 20 percent off.

Synup’s review management dashboard offering reviews overview, review analytics, topic trends, competitor insights, and review inbox. Users can filter this dashboard based on specific clients or locations.

Synup is the one to look at when star averages have stopped telling you anything. It reads what reviewers actually say, tags the topics and tracks how sentiment moves month to month, then sets that against local competitors.

Key Features

  • Sentiment analysis: Topic tagging and month-over-month trend tracking, rather than a single star average.
  • Competitor benchmarking: Your ratings, review volume, sentiment and star distribution against local rivals.
  • Listings management: Business data synced across 100-plus publishers including Google, Apple, Bing and Facebook.
  • AI review responses: Templates, bulk actions and approval workflows across 30-plus review sites.

2. Uberall

Rating: 4.3 on G2 based on 255 reviews and 4.6 on Capterra based on 37 reviews.

Starting price: Quote only. The pricing page publishes no figures and no billing unit.

Uberall’s location hub where you can get an overview of all the locations, along with a view of locations that require action. You can filter this dashboard or refine it based on business, groups, location status, sync status, and listing connection status.

Uberall is built for brands running locations across several countries, and its reply coverage is wider than most tools here. Its help center confirms AI-assisted replies on Google Reviews, Yelp Reviews and Facebook Recommendations straight from the inbox. Most of this list cannot reply on Yelp.

Key Features

  • Listings distribution: One record published across 150-plus directories, including Google, Apple and voice search.
  • Review management: Monitoring and AI-assisted bulk replies across connected locations.
  • Local pages and locator: SEO-optimized location pages with directions, booking and review calls-to-action.
  • Local social publishing: Localized brand content pushed to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google and Apple.

3. Neustar Localeze

Rating: 4.0 on G2 based on 4 reviews.

Starting price: Custom pricing, quote only

Neustar Localeze is not a tool you log into and work in. It is a data aggregator, and one of only a handful in the US, alongside Foursquare, Data Axle, GPS Network and the YP Network. You submit your business details once, and it passes them to more than 80 search platforms, navigation systems and mobile apps. Yext publishes to it too, which is the clearest sign of what this is.

Key Features

  • Aggregator distribution: One submission feeds more than 80 search platforms, navigation systems and mobile apps, including Bing, Apple and Nextdoor.
  • Authoritative source record: You claim and verify your own name, address and phone details at the aggregator level, so downstream copies inherit them.
  • Reseller and agency APIs: Listing data can be submitted through a web portal or an API suite, which is how other listings tools feed it.
  • Foundation layer, not a dashboard: Yext, Vendasta and SOCi all reach part of their network through it, so it sits beneath the tools on this page rather than competing with them.

These options cover a range of needs, from listings and local SEO to reviews and multi-location management. But the right fit ultimately depends on what matters most for your business. Let’s break down the key factors to consider before choosing a Yext alternative.

Which Yext Alternative Should You Choose?

Key factors for choosing a Yext alternative, including listings accuracy and distribution, review management and response automation, pricing transparency, and multi-location scalability.

The right Yext alternative depends on what you need most from a local marketing platform. Here’s how to narrow down your options based on the priorities that matter most.

1. Listings Accuracy & Distribution

If keeping your location data correct across directories is the job, Moz Local is the closest like-for-like swap. One record goes out to 90-plus directories, aggregators and map providers. Listings management covers the US, the UK and Canada only, so check your map first.

Uberall is the call when a real share of your locations sit in Europe. SOCi fits when you are distributing across hundreds of franchise sites and head office needs a say in what each one publishes.

BrightLocal is doing a different job. It finds where your data is already wrong, fixes the citations and tracks what your rankings do about it. That is correction and measurement rather than distribution, which is why agencies often run it alongside something else.

2. Review Management & Response Automation

Start with where your customers actually talk to you.

Pick Podium if the answer is a text message. The review request goes out inside a thread the customer is already in, which is why it works for walk-in and appointment businesses.

Pick Birdeye if the problem is raw volume and generated replies are the only realistic way through it. Its AI replies are restricted to US accounts.

Pick SocialPilot if you want Google and Facebook reviews answered from one screen, with AI drafts for every other connected site that you paste in yourself.

One thing to watch. The listings-first tools hold replying back. Moz Local has no review responding on its entry plan, and BrightLocal puts it on its third. Both stop at Google and Facebook.

3. Pricing Transparency

Six of these tools give you a number, while five do not. Birdeye asks for your location count and a phone number, SOCi redirects to a demo form, and Uberall publishes nothing at all.

That is normal enterprise practice, and it is also two to three weeks of evaluation time you have to budget for. If you need to compare options this week rather than this quarter, that narrows the field on its own.

4. Multi-Location Scalability

Location count sorts this faster than any feature comparison.

Your scale Start with Why
1 to 3 locations SocialPilot, Podium Both are built for this size. Podium only makes sense if messaging is genuinely the business
4 to 25 locations Moz Local, BrightLocal, Synup Per-location pricing you can budget, and reporting a client will actually read
25 to 100 locations BrightLocal, Birdeye BrightLocal covers the range on published bands. Birdeye quotes, but you will not outgrow it
100+ locations SOCi, Reputation, Yext Control is the product here. Approval chains, permission hierarchies and a named account manager
Agency, any client count BrightLocal, Vendasta, SocialPilot Client reporting, white-label resale, or unlimited brands on one plan

Making the Switch from Yext

Yext is still the strongest distribution network in this category. If one record reaching 200-plus publishers is the job, nothing here matches it. For a brand with hundreds of locations and a team to run them, staying put is a defensible answer.

What changes the math is everything around that network. Every published plan runs a 12-month term. The listings are claimed on your behalf through Yext's own publisher relationships, and no vendor on this page, Yext included, publishes what happens to those records when you stop paying. We looked. It is not on the plans page, not in the knowledge center, not anywhere.

So ask that question in writing before you renew, and time how long the answer takes. Ask about the notice period too. Birdeye's runs 90 days ahead of an auto-renewal, which means the real decision about next year lands in month nine, not month twelve. Miss it and you have bought another term.

The goal is not the platform with the most features. It is the one that fits the job you actually have, at a price you can read before you sign.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who competes with Yext?

Yext's closest competitors are Moz Local, BrightLocal, Birdeye, SOCi, Reputation, Uberall, Synup, Podium and Vendasta. Moz Local, Uberall and Synup compete on directory distribution. Birdeye, Podium and SOCi compete on reviews and local engagement. BrightLocal and Vendasta compete for agency budgets.

How much does Yext cost per year?

Yext publishes an annual ladder rather than quoting everything. Its PowerListings plans page lists Emerging at $199 a year, Essential at $449, Complete at $499 and Premium at $999, each billed annually on a 12-month term. Larger enterprise agreements sit above that ladder and are quoted individually.

Is Yext profitable?

Check the filings rather than a roundup. Yext is publicly listed, so results are filed every quarter and profitability moves from period to period. No comparison page should state a figure from memory. The current position is on the company's investor relations page.

What are the key differences between BrightLocal and Yext?

It comes down to reach against measurement. Yext pushes one record to 200-plus publishers on a 12-month term from $199 a year, and rates 4.5 on G2. BrightLocal audits citations and tracks rankings, starts at $41 a month for one location with no lock-in, and rates 4.6 on G2.

What is the best Yext alternative for agencies?

Pick BrightLocal if you sell local SEO, because rank tracking and white-labeled client reports are the core product there, at $41 a month for one location. Pick Vendasta if you resell to clients, though the white-label portal starts on a higher plan (Professional at $499 monthly). Pick SocialPilot if your clients mainly need Google and Facebook replies.
