Best For Agencies and Freelancers, Small and Medium Businesses, Brands and Creators, Non-profits, Education, and Government Organizations

Loomly is a social media management tool designed to simplify and streamline creating, planning, scheduling, and analyzing content for multiple social media platforms. It is marketed as an all-in-one tool designed to meet the needs of businesses, teams, and individuals.

We think Loomly is a great choice for content creators, with features such as a built-in content calendar and real-time post suggestions tailored to your brand’s voice.

Loomly integrates with multiple social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Google Business Profile, Snapchat, and Threads. However, it does not integrate with Twitch directly, but through a third-party platform like Zapier.

It is best for freelancers, agencies, non-profit organizations, startups, individuals & influencers. Loomly also offers a free 15-day trial as well as multiple subscription options to accommodate your needs.

From the very beginning, the platform is easy to understand and very easy to set up and use. I manage multiple social media pages for many companies. We use Loomly every day and it allows us to map out content in advance. I’ve only needed to contact support for one glitch that I caused by clicking a wrong button and they were very eager and helpful in getting my mistake figured out for me.

Verified G2 Review

Cons

  • Inability to toggle between grouped and ungrouped posts in the calendar view.
  • The mobile app has UI issues and lacks access to hashtag groups.
  • Unable to post to a platform at the scheduled time, sometimes
  • Specific limitations related to Instagram include manual publishing requirements for certain content types like reels.
  • Loomly’s pricing structure can be a drawback, particularly for users with multiple accounts

Paula S.

It has many problems rather than benefits to start on Instagram, it does not allow uploading videos only images, in addition, video publications are extremely limited by everything, that implies a big problem, at least for us. Serious problem we have had is that sometimes it does not save the edition of the publication and therefore the publication turns out bad and which represents a terrible error since it stains our image otherwise do not try to communicate with their technical support since you do not will never attend

Loomly Review: In-Depth Features Review

Publishing & Scheduling

Having used Loomly hands-on, we found its content planning and collaboration tools refreshingly intuitive. The platform brings all your content operations, that is ideation, creation, and scheduling into one centralized workspace, making it incredibly easy to manage social media for multiple brands.

What stood out to us was the visual calendar. You can drag and drop posts to fine-tune your schedule on the fly, ensuring your brand stays consistently active. We especially liked how each brand or client gets its own dedicated calendar, and the ability to view and manage all upcoming content across calendars from a unified dashboard makes oversight effortless.

Loomly also offers some impressive features to help you overcome creative blocks and generate new content ideas, such as daily posts ideas that help you keep your content fresh and engaging. Loomly’s calendar views are excellent to give you a bird’s eye view of your weekly or monthly content.

It’s especially helpful when you need to shift things around quickly. And when it’s time to get into the finer details, the list view presents your upcoming posts in a clean, chronological format that’s far easier to navigate and digest.

However, some users may find post creation too layered and time-consuming. The platform requires you to name the post, label it, select social channels, define generic content, fine-tune for each channel- basically, too many steps for a simple action. It also lacks the AI support, which is now becoming an integral part of many publishing tools.

But like most tools, you could schedule all types of short form content like Facebook reels, Instagram reels, and YouTube shorts. You can also schedule automatically generated posts from RSS feeds that ensure your content is relevant and has a consistent flow to their audience.

Moreover, it has a hashtag manager to offer suggestions for relevant and trendy hashtags to expand post reach and visibility. But misses out on the location tagging feature in twitter and does not support first comment on Facebook and LinkedIn which adds a manual step of commenting.

Additionally, we found Loomly’s content creation integrations to be a real time-saver. With these integrations, we could directly pull visuals from Canva and Google Drive, and even tap into Unsplash’s library of high-quality images; all without leaving the platform. Then we used its built-in Studio Editor that allowed us to fine-tune our visuals before they went live.

Talking about its queue of interesting features, it also has post mockups, providing a realistic preview of how posts will appear on each social media platform before publishing. This feature helps you keep your posts visually consistent and optimized for each platform, preventing any formatting issues or inconsistencies.

But, it lacks a built-in watermarking feature; something that many brands and agencies would find valuable for maintaining a consistent visual identity.

Social Media Collaboration

While Loomly’s interface makes team collaboration feel seamless, we found its collaboration tools to be more functional than advanced. You can easily invite team members or clients, assign roles, and manage permissions, which is great for basic workflow control.

However, if you’re looking for deeper collaboration features like in-thread discussions or advanced approval workflows, it may feel a bit limited.

With Loomly, you can grant or restrict access with role–based permissions so that the right people are involved at each stage. You can establish multi-tier approval workflows so that designated individuals review and approve content before publishing, allowing for streamlined feedback and final approval.

It also has a real-time commenting system, enabling team members and clients to provide feedback and suggestions directly within the platform. For example, if a client wants to give feedback on a particular phrase or brand voice, they can add comments to the exact post and sentence while reviewing.

If you’re an agency or brand managing multiple clients, you’ll appreciate Loomly’s custom-branded dashboard. It lets you create a personalized subdomain, upload your logo and favicon, and onboard clients into a polished, agency-branded workspace; great for leaving a professional impression.

That said, keep in mind that client onboarding isn’t unlimited. If you’re scaling fast or juggling several accounts, you’ll need to upgrade your plan as you grow, which will increase your costs over time.

Social Media Engagement

For agencies and brands that need a clear view of performance, Loomly delivers a solid analytics dashboard. You get access to all the key engagement metrics, likes, shares, CTR, impressions, and more, broken down by platform so you’re never in the dark about what’s working.

What really stood out to us, though, is the consolidated social inbox. Instead of jumping between platforms, your team can reply to comments, mentions, and messages from Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn – all in real time, from one place. It’s a serious time-saver when you’re managing multiple clients and campaigns.

The modified dashboard highlights unread conversations with the ‘New’ label. This visual cue guarantees that no important messages fall through the gaps, allowing you to prioritize and respond quickly to your audience’s involvement.

We did feel that this tool lacked some advanced engagement features, such as replying to a visitor’s post, which means you have to visit each post to increase engagement.

For seamless team collaboration and to ensure that you never miss a comment or message, you can mark posts as unread, assign, and filter posts by the assignee.

Some Inbox features that we found to be particularly useful were bulk actions, message categorization, saved replies, and team member assignments. These tools aim to improve response times, maintain brand consistency, and ensure that no interaction goes unnoticed.

This tool will certainly help you engage better with comments through liking, hiding, or deleting while providing native access to direct messages and private conversations.

In-depth Analytics Capability and Reporting

If you’re tracking performance for multiple clients, Loomly’s analytics dashboard has the essentials you need to stay on top of your strategy.

It’s not overloaded with metrics, but it covers the key data points that actually help you evaluate what’s resonating and where to tweak your approach. Overall it works decently well for agencies who want quick, actionable insights without getting lost in data overload.

With Loomly, you can also monitor the effectiveness of your posts in real-time. This lets you see what topics and content appeal to your audience.

Use its ” Advanced Analytics ” feature for more detailed data and reporting capabilities, such as account–level statistics like your total number of page likes and followers, new post metrics, data filtering, and period comparison, are available. The Standard, Advanced, and Premium plans all offer these features.

You can create customizable reports to share with your team or clients. This can help you show how valuable your social media efforts are or pinpoint areas where your approach needs work. Additionally, the Advanced, Premium, and Enterprise plans offer the ability to schedule analytics reports.

Loomly provides post-specific analytics, but it lacks comprehensive reporting for broader metrics like audience growth or engagement trends across platforms. It also falls short in custom report building – something brands need to track campaign-specific metrics.

We would also not really recommend Loomly for agencies needing cross-channel Reporting, so if you’re managing social accounts for multiple clients, Loomly falls short in consolidating and exporting broader insights (like growth trends, impressions across accounts).

Customer Support

For agencies managing multiple brand accounts, support matters, and Loomly gets that. Their live chat lets you reach support agents in real time when you need quick answers. You can also submit queries through the platform or drop them an email.

And if you’re on one of their higher-tier plans, you get access to a dedicated account manager, great for faster resolutions and personalized guidance as your team scales.

Loomly’s customer service has received mixed reviews across platforms like G2 and Capterra. While many users appreciate the team’s responsiveness and friendly support, others have found the experience less reliable.

On G2, several users praise Loomly’s quick response times and helpful approach, especially when handling common queries. For those on higher-tier plans, like the Enterprise plan, a dedicated account manager is included, which can be a real asset for agencies or larger businesses needing tailored support and platform customization.

However, not all feedback is glowing. Some users have pointed out that Loomly doesn’t clearly communicate its support hours, making it hard to know when help is actually available. Others have noted delays in response times, particularly during peak periods or when facing more technical issues. For businesses needing urgent support outside regular hours, this can be a significant inconvenience .

Ease of Use/Setup

Loomly appears to strike a mix between simplicity for newcomers and substantial capabilities for seasoned social media professionals. Beyond the first onboarding experience, Loomly’s simple and straightforward UI reflects its commitment to simplicity.

The platform offers a range of resources, including tutorials and a step-by-step post builder, to guide users through the process of creating and scheduling content. Loomly’s pricing model is based on per-user plans that scale with businesses’ demands. Beginning with the Base Plan at $42 per user/month ($32/mo, if billed annually), Loomly offers crucial social networking features for small organizations.

As plans evolve (Standard, extensive, Premium), capabilities extend to include extensive analytics, workflow customizations, and branding options, allowing larger teams to meet more complicated requirements.

However, charges can rise dramatically as user counts and social profiles grow, particularly with the Premium Plan, which costs $369 per user per month and $277 per month, if billed annually.

Loomly provides a Custom Plan for large organizations, which includes unlimited accounts and personalized support. This pricing model works well for small to medium-sized teams, but it may be too expensive for large teams managing multiple accounts.

While there is no free version, customers can test the features of any plan by using the 15-day free trial.

SocialPilot vs Loomly: Which One Works Better?

Compared to Loomly, SocialPilot comes at a more affordable price point with excellent customer support.

With Loomly, you have to do all that manually!

SocialPilot makes it easier for teams to manage content at scale because of its bulk scheduling feature, a wide range of platform integrations (including Pinterest and Google Business Profile), and approval-on-the-go feature.

SocialPilot can be a better option for those who want a simple setup with strong functionality, such as social inbox capabilities. Its dashboard is easy to use and intuitive, making social media management a breeze, particularly when managing analytics and post-organization.
